Weekend Worship at St. Bartholomew's

Photobucket

This week our worship takes us to St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Photobucket

.........You are no longer foreigners and aliens,

Photobucket

but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household,

Photobucket

built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.

Photobucket

In him the whole building is joined together

Photobucket

and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.

Photobucket

And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling
in which God lives by his Spirit.

I long to be joined with you, dear Christian sister and brother, to make this body of Christ a beautiful household of faith.

Verses taken from Ephesians 2.

  1. I love the "Go in Peace" sign as one exits the church. :)
We always end our service by the layreader saying that. We respond, "Thanks be to God."

  4. I have always loved the
    Scriptures that tell about
    being united, built together,
    knitted together in love,etc.
    We draw such strength from
    living and worshiping together
    as His body. Thanks, Dianne
    for these encouraging words.
    Love,

  16. Hi Dianne!
Oh I am up soooo late!
My daughters are home and we've had such a wonderful day...
We even baked until late... Now I'm waiting for rhubarb cakes to cool a little more before going to bed.

You sweet church for the weekend worship is named the same as the church I went to all my young life.
St. Bartholomew's Church in Norwich, New York.

It's the church pictured on the right of their website photo.
What two very different looking churches! Our neighborhoods were mostly of Italian origin and our ancestors LOVED stone!

Peace and Joy to you dear Dianne ♥ ~ I hope your Memorial Weekend is Wonderful,
    Love, Maria
