Today I will be starting a new feature entitled "Wednesday's Word." Each Wednesday I will post one of my favorite scriptures. It will be interesting to see how long it takes before I run out of favorite scriptures. Most Wednesday's will feature one, two, or three verses maximum. From time to time, I may post a short chapter from the Psalms. Some days the scripture will be total praise, others will be encouragement and a few will convict us and challenge us to a deeper level of walk with Christ.
Today's verse has got to tie with several others for my most all-time favorite. It is the cry of my heart and has been since I was a little girl although I did not know that particular scripture back then. The first time I read it was like "coming home." Someone understood my heart.

Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Psalm 73:25,26
