My day started out getting my canvas to Fellowship Bible Church in preparation for the art show which starts next Saturday. The awards party is Friday night.
One of my neighbors called mid-afternoon to see if I could do an art project at her daughter's birthday party tonight. On the way over, one of my other neighbor's daughters was sitting on top of an SUV with a friend. I thought it was cute so wanted to include the photo. I went home after an hour or so to get some needed supplies and they were still there.
The girls painted the backgrounds and I painted their initials and their names.
Walking back home after a fun birthday party, the kids were down off the truck but now were playing "Duck, Duck, Goose." My camera wouldn't work during the running action and I was so disappointed cause they were running and laughing so hard and having an awesome time. I was envious of their energy.
I design and make a little jewelry along the way--These necklaces are made of lapis and silver and I added Meemaw's pendant that we gave her for Valentine's Day in 1973. It has her initials OMH which stands for Owen Mary Hogue and has the date engraved on the back. It had been lying in my jewelry box for 15 years so I am glad to be able to wear it. If you know anyone who would like to have their jewelry redesigned or updated, I'm the gal to talk to, for a price, that is. Marianne, how do you like the handcrafted vase from Louisiana that I used as a model? A lady from St. Francesville who moved to Hot Springs Village gave that to us as a house-warming gift.
